Hello, I am Malte, founder of the Germany's first wingfoil school and has been an active local on Fehmarn's waters since his early years.

„MY LOVE OF WATER SPORTS HAS ME FIRMLY IN ITS GRIP“

In 2003, at the age of 14, I was the youngest to enter the kitesurfing scene on Fehmarn. I was lucky and talented and was directly supported with equipment by my father and my employer at the time, Bernd Hiss. As a result, I quickly achieved success and was runner-up in the German kitesurfing championship at the age of 16. However, contest riding didn't really grab me, so I didn't pursue it any further. Over the last 10 years, I gained a lot of experience in the training sector.

When I tried wingfoiling for the first time in 2019, I was really taken by the feeling of

WHY WINGFOILING IS SO SPECIAL

The new trend is gaining more and more fans

All of a sudden everything becomes very quiet and the driving experience is great:
Just goosebumps and totally awesome!

There are many very special characteristics that are unique to wingfoiling. Two things stand out clearly at the beginning: the simplicity of controlling the wing and the independence from a second person for launching. With the Wing you can not only foil and really accelerate, you can also take the Wingkite with you on holiday, to the lake, to the Baltic Sea - wherever you would like to go for a spin on the water. You can take it for a relaxed spin and take advantage of the light breeze or really go for it. You can wingfoil from as little as 8-10 knots of wind. The Wingkite is ready for use very quickly. Inflate and you're done. You simply kneel or stand on the initially large board and wait until you catch a gust, take off and ride off. As soon as you are floating on the foil and have the right technique, you only need to use a little strength to hold the wing kite. The foil takes the strain off your arms when gliding, which means you no longer need to use a harness. The riding experience is therefore very playful. The foil makes winging technically possible in the first place, as it generates much less friction in the water than a surface that glides on the surface of the water.

Wingfoiling is absolutely high-tech and the result
the art of engineering today. Pure fascination!
