Banned from 2025! Overnight stay in a motorhome in Burgstaaken
That's right - from this year 2025, it will be forbidden to stay overnight at our training spot in a motorhome.
The town of Fehmarn has allowed motorhomes to stay overnight in the Burgstaaken harbour area until 2024. It wasn't just our students who were happy about the one-off overnight stay for 24 hours, countless other leisure and exploration campers were also drawn to the south of Fehmarn.
Overnight stays have been prohibited since this year. The additional signs have been removed. Please make sure that you always check the current conditions on the signs!
Where can you stay as an alternative? There are countless alternatives on Fehmarn. Here are a few places to stay nearby. Here are a few examples!
- Very popular, large campsite with lots of attractions for the whole family.
- Award as „Superplatz“ (or „Bestcamping“) from the ADAC camping guide
- Large golf course

- South-facing location directly on the fine sandy Baltic Sea beach, bathing jetty with steps into the water, slipway for small boats

- Very beautiful, large farm with a wide range of activities for the whole family.
- Very nice campsite in Strukkamp. This site is a little further away (west of the island) but also right on the water behind the dyke. Fehmarn's most beautiful beach bar is right on the beach „Beach bar Strukkamp„
